This animal trap is ideal for trapping raccoons, stray cats, opussums and groundhogs.
Havahart® Large 2-Door Traps have been designed with the safety of the animals in mind. These raccoon traps, with two spring loaded doors, have many features to allow safe, quick and easy catches.
Havahart® Large 2-Door Traps are constructed of sturdy rust-resistant wire mesh with steel reinforcements for long life and galvanized for maximum resistance to rust and corrosion. Mesh openings are smaller than competing traps of comparable size to prevent escapes and stolen bait. Two spring-loaded doors allow animals to enter from either direction. Sensitive triggers ensure quick, secure captures that target the specific animal's size, eliminating undesired catches.
Solid doors and handle guards protect users during transportation, while smoothed internal edges protect and prevent injuries to animals. These traps are made in the U.S.A.

This trap is simply awesome. Caught everything from cats and groundhogs to skunks. This trap always performs flawlessly from catching said animal to releasing said animal. I highly recommend these live traps. Made in U.S.A too. Live down the street from their facility.
Off to a great start!November 01, 2010
We have a possum that is eating the dog food at night and 3 feral cats that like to fight with our 2 cats. I picked one of these up last night from a local retailer and nabbed one of the cats the first night!
Great product! Our local animal control officer wasn't aware these were available locally but will happily let folks know. :)
Chicken killerSeptember 06, 2009

I had a racoon that no matter what I did would find its way into my chicken coop. Tried other traps and baits with rat killer in them with no sucess. The first night with my Havahart 1045 trap was a sucess. Marshmallows on a slice of bread. No racoon problems since.
Trapping GroundhogsJune 02, 2008
I live in a city suburb, and have had a groundhog in my yard for a few years. This year, she had a litter, and my next door neighbor wanted to catch and kill the lot. I was devastated. I know they are pesty, but I was quite fond of them.
Well, cantaloup was evidently irresistible to these critters. I caught 5 of them (two adults and 3 babies) with 6 hours. I relocated all to the same location on a friend's property.

In less than 18 hours, I had the attic living raccoon in the trap!

I used this trap to capture feral cats on our land. We were able to capture all 6 - mom and babies -and bring them all to the ASPCA for spaying and neutering and then released them back on our property. The mom and one of the sons are still here 4 years later and are doing fine.
