Have the Best Garden in Town With These Tips!

Flower Gardening Made Easy

Easily add color to your outdoor living space by planting flowers in your gardens or planters. Before you start planting your flowers, there are a few considerations you need to make including whether to use seeds, seedlings, or cuttings, whether to use annuals, perennials, or flowering shrubs, and if there is a color scheme you want to stay within.

It is important to know the difference between annuals and perennials, as this will help you determine which type of flowers you would like to grow. Annual plants complete their life cycle in one year and must be replanted every year, while perennial plants will return year after year. Please realize, some perennials may not bloom the first year, so be sure to check bloom habits if you desire immediate color.

After selecting the flowers for your garden, you will want to decide on whether you’ll be planting seeds or cuttings. You may also choose to plant blubs. Visit your local garden center to help you select the plants you’d like to use. Each type of plant may have different requirements for light, water, and location, so be sure to follow the tips on the plant’s information tab or seed packet for optimal growth and flowering.

Shop Decorative Planters from CobraCo™

Planting flowers can be done elsewhere than just flowerbeds. Create appealing and visually eye-catching container displays using CobraCo™ planters from Avant Garden Decor. Most flowers can be planted in a container, which can add height and texture to your garden or patio. Daylilies, petunias, and pansies, to name a few, do exceptionally well in planters.

Flowers add color and character to outdoor spaces whether they are planted in containers, hanging baskets, or flowerbeds. Learn more about how to jazz up your home by visiting our How To section for Flower Gardening!
